Pre-configured software packages: one simple step to faster software deployment

Is there anything that makes gift giving easier? Yes! Gift-wrapping services. When I was younger, I would pay my sister to wrap all my gifts, and I still would if we lived closer. I’m no good at it, and every fold in the wrapping paper seems to cause me another ten minutes of grief. Either I don’t have enough paper, I’ve used too much paper, there’s a bulge where the paper should lay flat, or I can’t make the wrapping look nice because of the gift’s unusual shape.
My sister, on the other hand, patient and precise, raises wrapping to an art. With just a quick glance, she can tell how to wrap the gift, whether there will be enough paper, and how to make it look nice without giving too much away. It’s a skill I’ve always envied, if not enough to learn how to do it myself.
Thankfully most retailers offer gift-wrapping, so if I really need to make it look nice, I let the professionals do it – everyone else knows not to look at the wrapping too long. That gives me time to focus on buying more gifts, planning other celebration activities, or whatever else may come up in between. It leaves me flexible to get other stuff done.
Software packaging is obviously a different beast with many different drivers and concerns, but the principle remains the same: it’s better if my sister does it. OK, maybe not my sister, maybe not even yours, but someone’s sister who is more talented and has the skills and the focus to package the software so that it’s ready for deployment and can be rolled out without any compatibility issues.
Don’t have a sister who can package your software for you? We do. Well, not sisters exactly, though I suppose some of them are. We even have brothers who package for you. Probably some aunts and uncles, definitely some cousins, some parents and possibly even a grandparent or two.
No, the point is that we have a store. And not just any store but the world’s largest package store. Not only can you get the software, but you can get the package, too, professionally put together, with all the bells and whistles – and by this we obviously mean all the customized setting and compatibility adjustments you need to get your software and applications rolled out quickly and without any issues. With this, you can ensure the safety, security, reliability and continuity of your important digital business resources and processes.
Client managers, portfolio managers, software packagers and CSOs want quick and easy access to the latest software versions, application updates and patches to keep the software portfolio always up to date and eliminate security vulnerabilities as they occur.
Creating and managing software and application packages presents any business with a number of problems. These include:
1. Too many tools for the packaging process – Tools are costly, need to managed, and most importantly, you need to train and maintain personnel to use and manage them, meaning that you have to divert important business knowledge, resources, and money to in-house packaging.
2. Extensive customization – Software and app packages need to be configured to work in your environment and to eliminate potential compatibility issues. You can do this with most packaging technologies, but many of them require scripting abilities to do this effectively.
3. Excess of manual and repetitive work – Packaging in-house means doing a lot of manual work, and although most of it is repetitive, it can’t be easily automated, putting a strain on your resources.
Raynet’s Package Store seeks to solve these problems. We have created the world’s largest software package store because we know that while you might really enjoy using the software, packaging it can be a time-consuming, labor-intensive, and unsatisfying distraction from the work you really want to be doing. And although packaging is a necessary and indispensable part of any business IT environment, for many of the standard business applications, it’s not work that you need to do in-house.
Software, deployable when you need it, wherever you need it.
With the Raynet Package Store, you get software that’s
- Pre-packaged
- Pre-configured
- Easily customizable
- Fully compatible
- Safe and secure
And with over 10,000 packages already available, we’re almost guaranteed to have what you need.
