Paderborn-Based Company Raynet Celebrates 25th Anniversary: Technologies for the Whole World

August xx, 2025 | Westfalen-Blatt

Raynet CEO and founder Ragip Aydin can look back with pride on 25 years of company history. The company sells software and services to businesses around the world. It all started in Aydin’s two-room apartment 25 years ago.

The company was founded in December 1999 in Paderborn. The name Raynet came about spontaneously. “The ending ‘net’ was set, but I didn’t know what to put before it, so I just took my initials and that’s how Raynet was created,” says Ragip Aydin.

Over time, the one-man project has grown into a global company. More than 150 employees at international locations such as Poland, the USA, England, and Turkey are part of the team.

At the anniversary celebration at the hangar at Paderborn-Lippstadt Airport, District Administrator Christoph Rüther also had words of praise on the occasion of the 25th anniversary:  “For us as the district of Paderborn, Raynet is more than just a successful IT company. Raynet is a pioneer, partner, and role model all in one. For years, they have been at the forefront when it comes to digital solutions that are not only innovative but also highly efficient. Raynet has always been committed to the region and has made a significant contribution to the economic development of the district. We are proud to have Raynet as a part of our district.”

Revolutionizing the software world was Ragip Aydin’s goal then, as it is today. And he is particularly proud of his colleagues. “These special people form the foundation of this company, and I am very proud of that,” says the founder. In keeping with the company’s motto: “One Vision, One Mission, One Team.”

And although the company is represented worldwide, its connection to Paderborn has never been severed, as its headquarters have been in Paderborn since its founding. “Raynet started out as a local software company in Paderborn, and I am delighted that it remains rooted in Paderborn. However, this company has long since made itself at home in the big wide world,” says District Administrator Christoph Rüther.

As a recognized IHK training company, the Paderborn-based company has been training its own young talent since 2004. Currently, 20 trainees are employed by the company. Founder Ragip Aydin is particularly proud of what he calls his “home-grown talent,” who continue to work for the company even after completing their traineeships.

Young people are the future of Raynet

“It has always been my goal and desire to pass on my values to the young wild ones. They are to carry on my values and visions.” Young people will shape the future of Raynet. For Aydin, it continues to be a great honor to lead this company and to continue to accompany it into the future with his companions.

At the anniversary celebration at Paderborn Airport, to which 280 guests were invited, the founder looked back with satisfaction. “In 2025, after several crises, ups and downs, Raynet has had the best financial year in our company’s history. Raynet’s company value has thus exceeded a three-digit million figure,” Aydin reports with pride.

“This company is invaluable to our region, not only because it responds quickly to digital changes, but also because it is an important employer in this region,” the district administrator continues. “From Paderborn to the world and back again – there’s no better way to describe Raynet’s development.”

“Great things in business are not created by individuals, but collectively,” Ragip Aydin concludes, thanking all employees and looking confidently to the next 25 years.
