Exciting new and enhanced features of version 7.2

// RayPack Studio

Feature Highlights

With RayPack Studio, we are the only vendor to combine classic, modern and future-oriented packaging in one solution with the release of version 7.2.

Speed up your packaging projects

// The PSADT editor makes it even easier and more intuitive to create software packages

A highly configurable, graphical user interface instead of complex scripts allows software packages to be deployed in minutes.

Selecting individual phases for installing, uninstalling, and repairing packages is now much more intuitive and provides better feedback on their contents. The new display shows the number of actions included in each phase.

Other improvements and features make the PSADT editor even easier and cleaner for the user.

// Intelligent search & contextual support

With the new, intelligent search, you can reach your goals even faster. All it takes is three letters to instantly display suggested solutions from the PSADT functions. In addition, the standard and custom PSADT functions now display context-sensitive help for proper use.

Create and modify MSIX packages like a pro

// Enhanced manifest editor for MSIX projects

Use the intuitive interface with simplified wizards to achieve faster results as well as quality and safety. The new MSIX advanced and design editors provide users with two ways to edit projects as they prefer.

With the advanced editor, experienced software packagers can edit and create XML files for the manifest files. In addition, other features that are not directly available in the user interface, or features that are not publicly viewable in the MSIX SDK, can be viewed via the RayPack UI.

The visual designer, with its extensive portfolio of features for setup design tasks, provides a faster and easier entry point for creating software packages.

// Support for VHDX file format for MSIX App Attach

After successfully repackaging and converting, users can open VHDX files (App Attach) directly as a new project to edit and create a package.

Future-oriented: Full support for Windows 11

RayPack Studio provides you with full support for Windows 11 in many different areas.

// Extension of condition builder for Windows 11

Windows Installer does not by default automatically differentiate between Windows 10 and Windows 11. RayPacks condition builder now has this feature and can, after inserting a condition for predefined searches, automatically boot the entities which are required to perform it.

// New rule sets for automated compatibility testing for Windows 10 and Windows 11

With the new rule sets, RayPack supports additional operating systems such as Windows 10 21H2 (November 2021 update) and Windows 11.
